All of Canada, it seems, is anticipating the selection of the nation’s Olympic men’s hockey team as the announcement will be made tomorrow morning at approximately 9 a.m. PST.
In the case of the Ducks, Scott Niedermayer and Ryan Getzlaf are expected to get the call from Team Canada executive director Steve Yzerman. The real question is whether Corey Perry will join his teammates in Canada’s quest to win gold amidst the highest of expectations given that the Winter Games are in Vancouver.
Perry seemingly has the numbers to deserve a spot as his 41 points — 16 goals, 25 assists — tie Getzlaf for the Ducks’ scoring lead. But is his ability to finish around the net and antagonize the opposition what Yzerman will want when the tournament begins in February?
What do you think?
