Moen starts anew in Montreal

Dave Stubbs of the Montreal Gazette did a nice feature on former Duck and new Montreal Canadien Travis Moen. moen Moen starts anew in Montreal

The article talks about some of the attention Moen got from winning the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007, including his funny guest appearance on the television show Corner Gas, among other things.

Moen carved out a gritty role on the Ducks’ checking line. He scored a few goals in those 2007 playoffs, too.

Moen was traded to San Jose at the trade deadline last season, and then signed with Montreal in the off-season.

He said that Montreal is obviously an intense hockey market.

“I’ve been recognized here more in the past week than during my whole career in Anaheim,” he said.

“It’s cool when you’ve got a young kid asking for your autograph.”
