Why Scioscia doesn’t play Rivera more always has been a mystery. Unlike most of the Angels – especially in the most recent postseasons – Rivera actually can produce an extra-base hit and might even hit a ball over the fence. Image that.
And forget that righty-righty crap. Yes, Boston is starting a right-hander in Game 2. For his career against lefties, Rivera is hitting .284. For his career against righties, Rivera is hitting .284.
