Former Ducks defenseman Chris Pronger has signed a seven-year contract extension believed to be worth $35 million with the Philadelphia Flyers, according to Canadian media outlet Sportsnet.
Pronger’s deal, which reportedly will be confirmed later Tuesday, includes a no-movement clause.
The Ducks sent Pronger, 34, to the Flyers in a June 26 trade for winger Joffrey Lupul, promising young defenseman Luca Sbisa, first-round picks in the NHL entry draft this year and next year and a conditional third-round pick in either 2010 or 2011.
