Crosby gives the shoulder to Letterman

Here’s something that may divert you for a moment from the Ducks’ current run toward improving their position for the NHL entry draft June 25-26 at Staples Center.

crosbygold 300x233 Crosby gives the shoulder to LettermanPittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby recently turned down an opportunity to go on “The Late Show With David Letterman” in which he would have read the host’s signature top 10 list. Penguins GM Ray Shero took the time to defend Crosby’s decision by stating that his player has done numerous sitdown interviews in addition to his many day-to-day media responsbilities.

But should Crosby have found time for Letterman, even via satellite, when he’s the poster boy for a league looking capitalize on the high ratings the Winter Olympics got. After all, he did score the gold medal-winning goal in the most-watched hockey game in the United States since the 1980 U.S.-Finland gold-medal game from Lake Placid.
