The National Scholastic Surfing Association otherwise known as the NSSA is heading down south this weekend.
It’s the 7th stop of the 2009/2010 Southwest Conference Open Season at one of San Diego’s top surf spots.
This single A rated event at Seaside Reef will bring out lots of top talent from up and down the Southern California Coast.
Some of the notable names from Orange County include: Huntington Beach’s Christian Saenz and Kanoa Igarashi, Costa Mesa’s Colin Moran and Newport Beach’s Kaleigh Gilchrist.
The Southwest Conference Open Season divisions are made up of: Mens, Juniors, Boys, Mini-Grom, Women and Longboard.
The two day competition will kick off about 7:30 a.m each day and wrap up about 5 p.m. For more info. or to check out the heat times for the contest, go to nssa.org.
