TV stars to appear at Disney convention in Anaheim

ABC Television Network is giving fans a chance to see the some of stars from the network’s shows at the inaugural D23 EXPO at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The four-day Disney event, from Sept. 10-13, will include the following:

• “The ABCs of Disney” will take place at 3 p.m. Sept. 10 and will be hosted by Tom Bergeron from “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” Joining Bergeron at the event will be Steve McPherson, president of the ABC Entertainment Group, actress Patricia Heaton of “The Middle,” actor Kelsey Grammer of “Hank,” actor Ed O’Neill of “Modern Family” and actor Jeseph Fiennes of the new drama “FlashForward.” Wrapping up the event will be a dance performance from two “Dancing with the Stars” champions.
• D23 EXPO guests can enjoy the “ABC House Screening Room,” where they can get sneak peeks of shows from the network’s new fall schedule.
• “Lost” fans will get the chance to see a selection of props, set pieces, costumes and artifacts from key moments in the series.
• On Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m., Walt Disney Animation Studios will give a sneak peek at “Prep and Landing” by directors Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton.
• “Wizards of Waverly Place” fans will get access to an exclusive question-and-answer session with the cast of the show on Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. On hand will be Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera and David DeLuise, along with executive producer Peter Murietta.

“Never before has every part of Disney come together under one roof to celebrate its fans, its amazing legacy and the excitement of what’s to come,” said Steven Clark, head of D23 in an e-mail.

Tickets for the EXPO are available at www.D23Expo.com. Tickets can be purchased for a single day or the entire duration.

One-day admission costs $37 for adults and $27 for children ages 3-12. A four-day admission costs $111 for adults and $81 for children. A full schedule of events is also available on the D23 EXPO website.
