Disney diehard fans flocked to the NFFC-Disneyana Fan Club convention at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where they got to see Leonard Maltin receive its first ever Heritage Award, and the debut of a new book, “Walt Disney’s First Lady of Imagineering – Harriet Burns.”
The meet is also an opportunity for members of the club and Disney fans everywhere to buy, sell and trade Disney collectibles such as pins, plates and more.
“Right now its a buyer’s market,” said Michael Steinfeld who was clutching a one-of-a-kind collage of images of Disney film kisses.
According to Chuck Oberleitner, the spokesman for the club, Disney has something to offer everyone, from the diehard fan to the young and old at heart.
“Its a way to stay connected to your childhood,” Oberleitner said.
The club has several meetings throughout the year, and special events for all Disney fans.
There’s a pin-trading meeting coming up this Friday. Watch the video to learn more about the Disneyana fans.
